Be Chosen is a trading name of Flow Media Group Ltd, registered in England and Wales, 23b Lenten Street, Alton, GU34 1HG, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal information described here. This policy explains what we collect when you use bechosen.co, run a free AI visibility check, buy our service or hear from us, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

• Free check: your business name, type of business, town, first name, email address and mobile number.
• Checkout: business name, first and last name, email, mobile, your consent choices, and whether you added Google Business Profile setup. Card details go straight to our payment provider, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• Onboarding: the answers you give after purchase, such as your services, the towns you want customers from, the tool you use to manage jobs, your Google review link, your business address and website, and whether you have given us manager access to your Google Business Profile.
• Mobile confirmation: your mobile number and whether you confirmed it with a texted code.
• Consent records: when you tick a consent box we keep the exact wording you agreed to, the time, your IP address and your browser's user agent, so we can show what you agreed to and when.
• Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, the steps of the check and checkout you reached, and where you came from (for example the ad or website that sent you, including campaign tags and ad click identifiers).
• Your customers: if you use our review requests, the names and mobile numbers of your customers that you or your job management tool provide to us, used only to send review requests on your behalf.

Our checks look at what AI assistants say publicly about businesses in your area. The questions we send to AI services are about your type of business and town, not about you as a person.

How we use it

• To run your free check and show and send you the results.
• To take payment, set up and deliver the service, and support you.
• To send account texts and emails: check results, setup progress, monthly visibility reports and payment notices.
• To send review request texts to your customers on your behalf, where you have authorised it.
• To send marketing texts and emails about offers and new features, only if you opted in. You can opt out at any time.
• To measure and improve our website, checks and advertising, and to understand which campaigns bring customers.
• To prevent abuse and fraud, for example limiting how many checks can be run from one connection.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Legal bases (UK and EU visitors)

We use your information to perform our contract with you or take steps you ask for before entering one (running your check, checkout, delivery and support); with your consent (marketing messages, advertising cookies and pixels, review request authorisation); for our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our business and measuring our marketing, balanced against your rights; and to comply with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Text messages (SMS)

You opt in to texts by ticking unchecked consent boxes. Account texts (check results, setup progress, monthly reports, payment notices and review requests to your customers) are part of the service, so that box is needed to buy. Marketing texts have their own box and are optional: agreeing to them is never a condition of buying. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help.

No sharing of SMS opt-in data: mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with, sold to, or rented to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is not transferred to any third party. The service providers listed below who help us send texts or confirm numbers process them only on our instructions.

Cookies, browser storage and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential: needed for the site, the check and secure checkout to work, including Stripe's payment security.
• Browser storage: to save where you came from (campaign tags and ad click identifiers), and the name, email and mobile you entered in the free check so checkout can fill them in for you. This stays in your browser for up to 30 days and you can clear it at any time.
• Advertising and measurement: the Meta (Facebook) pixel and similar tools record visits and actions such as starting a check, starting checkout and purchasing, so we can measure and improve our ads. Meta may use this information under its own policies. Where we send conversion information to advertising platforms, contact details are hashed first.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and control ad personalisation in your Meta and Google account settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Be Chosen, under contracts that require them to protect it:

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or others' safety, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business.

International transfers

We are based in the UK and many of our providers are in the United States. Where your information leaves the UK or EU we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK-US data bridge.

How long we keep it

• Free check details and results: up to 24 months after your last contact with us, unless you become a customer.
• Customer, billing and consent records: for as long as you are a customer and then up to 6 years, for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
• Opt-out records: kept so we can keep honouring them.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable providers for payments, messaging and hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. US residents of states with privacy laws (such as California) can ask what we collect, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of targeted advertising; we don't sell personal information. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

Children

Be Chosen is a service for businesses and isn't directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we'll tell customers about significant changes.
